Bell, Ryniker & Letourneau attorneys hail from diverse law schools and backgrounds, bringing varied educational and practical experience. A number of the firm's attorneys have served in seagoing and shoreside capacities in the maritime industry and the United States Coast Guard. One of the attorneys is a professionally licensed aviation pilot, while two others are licensed as professional mariners by the U.S. Coast Guard. Professional activities outside Bell, Ryniker & Letourneau include lecturing at the University of Houston Law Center and the Texas A&M Maritime College at Galveston; lecturing at the annual University of Texas Admiralty Law Programs, the State Bar of Texas Admiralty Law Programs, and the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute; and participation in the Houston Marine Insurance Seminar Planning Committee, Norwegian American Chamber of Commerce, the Defense Research Institute, Propeller Club, and the Maritime Law Association of the United States.
