Transaction
Services
Bell, Ryniker & Letourneau assists its corporate clients with transactional
and regulatory counseling. The firm’s admiralty and maritime
transaction expertise includes the drafting, negotiation and
interpretation of marine contracts, including towage, salvage,
offshore construction and installation, vessel and rig purchase
and sale agreements, charters, drilling contracts and vessel
joint ventures. The firm is particularly adept at evaluating
the pros and cons of indemnity obligations and statutory requirements
affecting such provisions, and crafting language most favorable
to our clients. The firm provides advice to its maritime clients
concerning the application and interpretation of federal marine
safety regulations, and marine and energy insurance coverage
and market issues. The firm’s attorneys have represented
numerous banks and owners in the financing and mortgaging of
vessels, and have been involved in a number of fleet refinancings
and reorganizations.
The firm’s
international client base is a result of the nature of the maritime
work, which has traditionally been a concentration of the firm’s
attorneys. The firm represents its clients in international
transactions (both incoming and outgoing investments), including
the sale and acquisition of vessels engaged in international
commerce. The firm’s attorneys have been involved with
mergers and acquisitions between domestic and foreign corporations
and international joint ventures.
