Bell, Ryniker & Letourneau advises and defends businesses and insurers facing liability arising from a myriad of environmental contaminants. The firm’s attorneys have represented businesses in their efforts to comply with both state and federal environmental regulations, and have successfully defended corporations at trial and on appeal in hazardous waste and related disputes.

The firm represents corporations in products liability suits alleging personal injury from occupational exposure to a variety of toxic substances. Because the resulting lawsuits often involve multiple parties, Bell, Ryniker & Letourneau participates in various forms of joint defense arrangements to most economically defend against such multi-party suits.

The firm’s attorneys have also drafted and negotiated pollution response contracts that protect its clients’ interests pursuant to various statutory regimes, including OPA 90, CERCLA and the Shipowner’s Limitation of Liability Act, among others. The firm has also represented clients in a wide range of pollution incidents, including oil and hazardous materials discharges from both vessels and terminal facilities.
